Phone Mouse is built to be local-first. It does not have a backend server, does not collect personal data, and does not phone home.

What we collect

Nothing personal. The app and the desktop helper exchange only what's needed to move your cursor and type your keystrokes — and never beyond your local network.

Local network only

• The desktop helper listens on your Wi-Fi for connections from the Phone Mouse app on your phone.
• The app discovers helpers on the same local network via mDNS (Bonjour).
• Connections use a self-signed TLS certificate whose fingerprint is pinned via a one-time QR pairing.
• Your input never reaches the internet.

What's stored on your devices

• On your phone: the list of computers you've paired with, their session tokens, your settings.
• On your computer: the list of phones you've paired with, the helper's self-signed certificate, a rotating log file (in your user-data directory).
• You can wipe both at any time by deleting the app or the helper.

Third parties

• Google AdMob — the free tier of the phone app shows a single rewarded ad once a day, which unlocks all features for 24 hours. AdMob's own privacy policy applies to that ad request only.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — handle subscription billing if you upgrade to Pro. We never see your payment details.
• No analytics, no crash reporting, no marketing trackers.

Children

Phone Mouse is rated for general audiences and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, child or adult.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the "last updated" date above will move forward. We'll never reduce the privacy guarantees of a product you've already paid for.
